How We Approach Every Matter

1

Listen First

Every engagement begins with a consultation focused entirely on understanding the client's circumstances. We do not suggest what action to take until we have heard the full picture.

2

Assess and Document

We review all relevant documentation, assess the legal position honestly, and provide findings in writing. Clients have a clear record before any further decision is required.

3

Act with the Client's Direction

Further steps are taken only at the client's instruction, based on the assessment provided. We advise on the options available; the decision remains theirs.

Standards Common to Every Engagement

Legal Professional Privilege

All communications and documents are protected by legal professional privilege throughout the engagement. Client information is not shared without instruction.

Written Engagement Letters

Every engagement is formalised by a written letter confirming scope, fees, and terms before any substantive work begins. Nothing proceeds without written agreement.

Senior Practitioner Oversight

Substantive advisory and representation is conducted by or directly supervised by a senior Malaysian Bar practitioner. Junior staff do not manage client matters independently.

PDPA Compliant Data Handling

All personal data is held and processed in accordance with Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010. Retention is limited to what is necessary for the engagement.

Bilingual Communication

Engagements and written materials are available in Bahasa Malaysia or English according to client preference. No client is required to proceed in a language they find uncomfortable.

Fixed Fees, No Hidden Additions

Fees are stated at the outset and do not change mid-engagement. Any variation requires explicit written agreement with the client. There are no hidden extras.

Clear Fees, Set in Advance

All fees are in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are confirmed in the engagement letter before any work commences.
